Deep sea fishing catch

Here’s a small oil painting I made from a photo I took after a deep sea fishing trip. It’s a small painting that I did in only a few hours as a study. As sometimes happens with a study, I really liked it.

I painted this series of flowers more than a year ago. I wanted to play around a little with different colors on the same subject. I painted these using acrylics, but I generally prefer oil paints.

This a photo of the top of a bounce house from the inside. I must confess, while this is my own personal photograph, I only took it after seeing my neighbor take the same photo. I hope he understands that emulation is the highest form of flattery. Enjoy.

Who needs a website?

I spent several evenings looking at hosting companies because I had decided to get started on a website. One of my most important requirements was some type of good blogging software. Since several of the hosting companies I was considering offered WordPress blogging software, I figured I should check out the functionality before comitting. The thing is, once I saw all the things I could do with this free online solution, I put off all the programming required for building a site, and here I am.
